Alan Axelrod has worked with DMG Global for several years and is the author of some 144 books on leadership, management, history, military history, corporate history, career, general business and other nonfiction. Dr. Axelrod taught humanities-related courses at the University of Iowa, Lake Forest College (Lake Forest, Illinois), and Furman University (Greenville, South Carolina) before becoming an editor and publishing executive in New York at Van Nostrand Reinhold and Abbeville Press. After serving as vice president of Zenda, Inc. (New York and Nashville), a consulting firm to museums, he became director of development for Turner Publishing, Inc. (Atlanta), a subsidiary of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., and since 1997 has been president of The Ian Samuel Group, Inc., a consulting, creative services, editing, and online content provider in Atlanta.

 

A keynote speaker at the Conference on Excellence in Government (Washington, D.C.), the Annual Conference of the Goizueta School of Business, Emory University (Atlanta), and the 2014 annual conference of Ecopetrol (Bogota, Colombia), Dr. Axelrod has been a creative consultant for the CW, A&E Network, Discovery Channel, Military Channel, American Heroes Channel, and the PBS “American Experience” series.
